Somf Slang Decoded: Real Examples of How People Use It on Tiktok and X
Q1: What does SOMF mean most commonly on TikTok?
On TikTok, SOMF most frequently means "Stay Off My Feed." Users post it in comments when an unwanted creator’s video appears on their algorithmic For You Page (FYP), signaling annoyance or an impending block.
Q2: Is SOMF considered NSFW?
Yes, in many contexts. Its primary historical definition is "Sit On My Face," which makes it decidedly Not Safe For Work. It should never be used in professional, academic, or formal communication channels.
Q3: How do I tell which meaning someone intends in a text message?
Look at the preceding conversation. If the tone is playful, romantic, or suggestive, it almost certainly refers to the sexual phrase. If the context involves an argument, shared social media links, or complaints about annoying content, it means "Stay Off My Feed" or "Straight Out My Face."
